An animation made up from contour maps of the inner coma of
C/1999 S4 (LINEAR) made from CCD observations with the 1-m Jacobus
Kapteyn Telescope in La Palma taken on July 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th,
27th and 28th 2000. The rapid spreading out and decrease in brightness
of the coma is obvious. The box is 20 arcseconds across. |
